Objectives
The goals of the first unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Understand the basic principles of sustainability (Triple Bottom Line) and their meaning in the context of events;

Analyze the origin of the UNI ISO 20121 standard and the strategic benefits deriving from certification;

Become familiar with the High Level Structure (HLS ) and the systematic approach of the standard.
The goals of the second unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Perform context analysis by evaluating relevant internal (resources, skills) and external (regulations, market) factors;

Identify, map and understand the needs and expectations of all stakeholders;

Precisely define the scope of the Management System, justifying any exclusions.
The goals of the third unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Understand and demonstrate active leadership engagement and define sustainability policy;

Identify, assess and plan actions to address sustainability risks and opportunities;
-
Ensure ongoing identification and compliance with all legal requirements and other compliance obligations.
The goals of the fourth unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Ensure that the Management System is adequately supported by analyzing the requirements for resource allocation (financial, infrastructural);

Manage staff skills and develop internal awareness of the importance of sustainability;

Define communication plans and implement procedures for controlling documented information.
The goals of the fifth unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Understand how to plan and control all operational processes throughout the event lifecycle;

Implement sustainable management of the supply chain and procurement processes;

Establish and maintain operational criteria to prevent or mitigate environmental and social impacts.
The goals of the sixth unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Implement a sustainable purchasing policy, defining environmental, social, and economic criteria for the selection of goods and services;

Actively involve suppliers in the Management System, requiring them to adhere to the event’s sustainability principles;

Monitor supply chain sustainability performance to ensure that external partners do not compromise the Organization’s objectives.
The goals objectives of the seventh unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Establish a monitoring and measurement plan to collect reliable data on system performance (e.g., energy consumption, waste, social impact);

Define the key performance indicators (KPIs) needed to evaluate progress towards the established objectives;
-
Perform periodic assessments of compliance with legal requirements and other commitments undertaken, maintaining documented evidence of this.
The goals of the eighth unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Plan an internal audit program based on the importance of processes and the results of previous assessments;
-
Acquire the techniques to conduct effective inspections, in order to determine whether the SGSE complies with the requirements of UNI ISO 20121;
-
Prepare clear audit reports to highlight objective findings and any non-conformities to management.
The goals of the ninth unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Analyze necessary inputs (e.g., stakeholder feedback, audit results) to conduct an effective Management Review;
-
Identify and manage non-conformities (actual or potential), implementing immediate actions to contain their effects;
-
Define and implement corrective actions to eliminate the root causes of problems and prevent their recurrence.
The goals of the tenth unit of the UNI ISO 20121 course:

Apply the principle of continuous improvement to increase the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the Management System over time;
-
Understand in detail the third-party certification process (Stage 1 documentary and Stage 2 operational) and the maintenance methods;
-
Consolidate best practices to ensure the event’s positive legacy and the Organization’s long-term sustainability.
